Okok….its been a long time since I last update the blog. Nothing special to write actually, as usual I’m quite busy recently due to Alisa’s routine checkups and the annual Xmas/CNY projects!.....hopefully it’s gonna be my last festive project. Workload still the same here at Graphictech and guess what?....no increment for this year!. Very disappointed as its way way way below my expectations of last year! Well… what to do when your bosses are buying condominiums and driving new Beemers but yet you were told the company is not making any profit so only a few selected lucky ones got to have increment!....I truly believe both of them are part of the lucky ones! ....PUI!!!
My best work buddy Joe was the fortunate one among us I guess, He tendered last month and got to a better company with damn good benefits. Thou he only got a slight increase from his current pay BUT no more pathetic 7 Pro-rated leaves, $50 dental allowance, 1 day wedding leaves, working on Saturday and 1 damn Compassionate leaves! (Yes I just said 1 day….think the bosses/HR thought I’m a Muslim.
Anyway….enough complaints….After my baby is out, I will start to plan for my future. Most probably I will tender early next year, staying here will have no prospect since the bosses dun appreciate your loyalty here...keep you as long as you still got "use" for the company.(take Janet and Joe as case study and you will know) Right now just hope they can quickly hire a new designer to replace Joe….I think its gonna take some time and I doubt it will be any local taking up the position since the benefits is soooo damn sucky here….who still work 5.5 days!!!
As for the time being…..good luck GT, I had served you a good 7 years and I don’t think I owe the company anything... and also starting the countdown to welcome my incoming newborn boy this October!!
